KRIPTONARCHITECTURE is a company of architecture and engineer, which its main objective is the Sustainable Urban Renovation. One of its main principles is “Think Global and Act Local”, framing the action of architects and engineers in global concerns and themes such as Environment and Energy.
The process of creation and project will be most of the times inverted, meaning that KRIPTONARCHITECTURE aims to provide architectural and engineer services, tanking the real necessities and available budgets of their clients as a starting point.
Cities will be the main field of intervention, through Sustainable Refurbishment of buildings and/or parts of them, having always present the following factors::
Energy Efficiency;
Contexts understanding;
Optimization of landlord/tenant relationships;
Rebalance of green/built ratios;
Changing of mentalities;
Solving short term problems never forgetting the long term ones;
Reinventing ways of financing;
Planning and projecting according to real possibilities;
Communication optimization between developers and official entities;
Target
The main objective of KRIPTONARCHITECTURE is the refurbishment of old buildings and buildings with considerable glazed areas in their facades, because of their potential of improvement in what respects to energy efficiency and as a result in the energy bill, as well as their impact in the environment.
The methodology used by KRIPTONARCHITECTURE consists in promoting the refurbishment of buildings in a hybrid way, meaning, promoting a strong and straight interaction and equilibrium among passive techniques, most of the times related with architecture, with active techniques, more related with engineer.
Giving priority to solutions which are more effective related with geographical location and climate of the zone where the buildings to be refurbished are sited. Making them less dependent on fossil fuels, for their running needs, creating more natural interior environments which improve comfort conditions for their occupants.
The use of new technologies such as calculation/simulation of the proposed solutions, as well as monitoring the adopted solutions, throughout the life cycle of the building, make also part of the way KRIPTONARCHITECTURE works.
